[edit] Organizational Charts

The state government publishes an organizational chart, which normally resides on the web page of the State President of SUNY New Paltz at www.newpaltz.edu/president. It is currently unclear whether these publications represent binding official policy in the state administration's bureaucracy, or if they are simply a guide to business-as-usual reporting and communications.

[edit] History of Changes

[edit] June 2007

Beginning in April of 2004, the organizational structure of the state administration of SUNY New Paltz followed the chart pictured below (left). This chart was made available on the official college website up until April of 2007, when this chart was removed permanently. It has since not been made available at newpaltz.edu, and is exclusively available here on WikiPaltz. Relatively soon afterwards, a new, revised chart was uploaded to the state website (pictured below, center), with organizational changes and clarifications, as well as the inclusion of new positions that have been added since 2004. In parenthesis, besides the link to the chart in PDF format, the site read, "June 2007," which implied that the new organizational structure became effective that month. A complete, mechanical list of organizational and bureaucratic changes can be found pictured below (right) in visual and written form.

Other than changes in the color scheme (from black and white, to shades of the college colors, orange and blue), as well as aesthetical changes, the only remaining unmentioned changes are the following:

  • There is no date indicated on the chart.
  • "(SUNY)," no longer appears next to the position, "Chancellor."
